Artist: Vigo
Track : Amend
First up is Vigo with his deep house track ‘Amend’. Vigo took the Deep and Soulful House Course back in March where learnt the skills to craft this track ‘Amend’. Fusing Latin rhythms with tribal sounds he put this track together using Logic’s native ES2, ES1, EXS24 and Ultrabeat. Vigo says “All synths and drums have been programmed following careful tips and suggestions given by Danny and Alex during the great DVRs and I can tell I’m definitely more than satisfied with the results I reached.”

Artist: Meenox
Track: Amen & Fuerte
Next up for this month’s releases is Meenox with his two tracks ‘Amen’ and ‘Fuerte’. Meenox completed the Music Production with Ableton Live Certificate back in April and is currently enrolled on the Electronic Music Composition Course. He grew up listening to the likes of Depeche Mode, The Doors, Pink Floyd and Placebo but was inspired to make electronic music after hearing tracks from UK house producer Steve Lawler. Meenox is due to take the online Ableton Live 2: Sound Design Course this October. ‘Amen’ and ‘Fuerte’ are available to buy now on Beatport.

Artist: SILEKTRO
Track: Distar & Leben
Last but certainly not least is SILEKTRO aka Sil Van Hecke who took the Deep House Course – Ableton Live, Electronic Music Composition and Music Production with Ableton Live Certificate. Having always had an interest in electronic music, SILEKTRO brought his first pair of decks back in 2006 and sights Claude VonStroke, Brodinski and Laidback Luke as heavy influences of his sound. He has gained notable success in his native country of Belgium and 2011 saw him open the mainstage at Belgium’s electronic music festival Houza Palooza and play the above & beyond stage at tomorrowland. His track ‘Leben’ was inspired by one of his favorite progressive house tracks ‘Human You’ by Ante Perry ft Tube & Berger and has been well received on the dancefloor. Check out it below…
SILEKTRO says “I started producing only one year ago and I was able to create some small loops that sounded quite nice, but I always got stuck with that loop, not knowing what to add to make it a full track. I found Point Blank online school then tried some of the sample courses. On the first sample course I already learned more than I did in my first months of watching tutorials on youtube and reading books/magazines! As I had just bought Abelton I enrolled for the professional ableton program. In those 16 weeks and 3 courses I learned using ableton/instruments/effects , finishing tracks and mixing my tracks to have them ready to play out. I decided to take a 4th Ableton course with Ski Oakenful. I learned so much during this time which helped me finish my track “Leben”. I can honestly say that anyone that wants to learn how to produce no matter how experienced you are already, Point Blank is the place to go!”
