As one of Britain’s most forward thinking music events, Bloc festival brings together some of the most prolific electronic artists the industry has to offer. This year our friends over at Ableton have teamed up with them and alongside Loopmasters and Novation they will be providing an interactive Ableton Floating Bar and Dancefloor. Today we are delighted to announce that Point Blank will be acting as an official media partner for the Ableton Lounge and together with b@tv, we will be bringing you special content and news becoming the only music college to have exclusive coverage of all the action from the Ableton camp.
Moving from it’s regular location of Butlins Minehead Resort and finding a new home at London Pleasure Gardens, Bloc’s new idyllic venue will allow the perfect backdrop for their spectacular audio-visual displays and will certainly prove to be a popular choice. Situated on the newly refurbished Charing Cross Pier, the Ableton Floating Bar and Dancefloor will be offering festival goers the chance to catch some live performances, speak with industry experts and develop their production skills by new learning techniques. As part of the scheduled workshops and performances our very own Ski Oakenfull will be carrying out a special guest masterclass at the Ableton Lounge on Friday at 9pm.

As the main course developer and tutor for our very popular EMC course, he’ll be deconstructing Mr Finger’s ‘Can U Feel It’ where he will be demonstrating drum programming using a launch pad, arpeggiated riffs and much more. Not familiar with the track? Check it out below….
